 The
Men's collection developed for winter 2004 is based on Biella-combed pure
wool - 2/48, 2/64, 2/84 and 2/100 count - spun using Compact technology.
Fine 16.5 micron wools are used to make "Super 140 S" fabrics
in cloth, twill, plain and mélange flannels, saxony, and Natural
Stretch, with a wide range of designs and a reliable, flexible production
service.
Using the same Compact spinning technology, a collection
of mixed wool/polyester patterns has been given a younger, more informal
style, with a comprehensive, ready sampling service.
The constantly-evolving summer collection is enhanced by
linen/wool, wool/silk, cotton/wool and cotton/linen blends, and by 100%
cotton, with fine yarn counts with innovative high-grade finishings.
Fabrics are also available for heavyweight outer garments, both combed
and carded, based on Total Easy Care and washable pure virgin wool and
plain and patterned one and two-way elastic stretch wool polyester for
a collection that is more informal or targeted at a younger clientele.
This line is destined to grow over future seasons, when full exploitation
will be made of the competitive advantages provided by combining Italian
creativity with the technological production potential in Bulgaria - which
also offers considerable logistical benefits in terms of handling garments
on account of the large number of quality CMT manufacturers in the region.
In terms of creativity, service and value-for-money, the Miroglio Lana
collections are sure to be of interest in the pursuit of new alternatives
to traditional channels designed to meet the needs of an increasingly
demanding and competitive market.
